Ampang Lookout Point

This is a place in Ampang up on a hill........where you can view the whole of KL City while enjoying your meal. There are 5 restaurants there for you to choose from. I've only eaten at two restaurants, and i prefer the food at Bread & Olives than the other restaurant which name i cannot recall. Bread & Olives serves Middle Eastern food which i somehow fancy!

The KL City view is magnificent..if you are a person who loves looking at the sky or at the clouds, you should really check this place out. (No, i am not advertising for them nor promoting the place) You'll understand me better by viewing the photos below.
The temperature up there is on the cool side because of the higher elevation above sea level.. You can get fresh air there IF all the smokers are murdered. if only. sighs.

It is best to go up to the Ampang Lookout Point around 6pm on weekdays. Although the place is tucked up in a hill, it is very very crowded with people by 7.30pm & parking will become a huge problem. Best is to avoid having dinner there on weekends..

I'll end my yakking & just let these messy photos do the talking!!!

Roxy Summer Splash

What? U were there too? no surprise. Sighs.....This is how it all began:

I arrived Sunway Pyramid around 10.45am...met up with some friends in F'ckin Donuts...sat there waiting for the others.. got tired of waiting, decided to head on down to the Surf Beach entrance around 11.40am... an ocean of people were already there...the line was so blardy long!! most of the time we were queuing in the car park area... in the end i decided to jump queue & joined a friend from college in the front there.

After loads of shoving, pushing, sweating, cursing, eye-rolling, suffocating & stinky moments, i managed to get in at 1.40pm! No more Roxy goodie bags as predicted. Hoiyoh that time i didnt care liao lah! Just wanted to get in & see what the big hoo-hah is all about..

Dsc08111

MORE PEOPLE.
but didnt bump into people i was expecting to meet there -.-
Damn zadao also cuz a lot of little kids were there..........i mean, how could their parents let them go for this event without adult supervision??? They might choke on the artificial beach sand & die lehh. (By saying little kids i mean those under 15 years of age.Lol)

Finally the event on stage started around 2 something..Malaysian timing..........what do u expect? The emcees for the event, Liang & Jin (never really heard of him but he's kinda hot) were reeeaallly entertaining!! love em'!!! Those people are real awesome emcees! They certainly kno how to get the crowd pumpin'!!
While the Summer Hunks & Hotties were mostly shy & introverts.. Lol. MY choice for the hunks would be Syafiq cuz he was really confident on stage & he has a great bod!!! The Summer Hottie with the most potential have to be Juanita! She really stood out from the rest.. Haha...anyone else who was there agree with me?? =)

Okay here's some pictures of them people on stage:
Dsc08107 Dsc08109 Dsc08104 Dsc08106_2

As u can see, i was pretttty close to the stage! smack in the middle between where the judges were sitting behind & the stage in the front! Haha. but i didnt stay for long there.....wanted to find locker to put my stuff. All filled up.

My friends & i stood, sat, walked around the place.....till we gave up & decided to go back to Sunway Pyramid around 4 something! Believe it or not we couldnt exit the normal route....4 something still a lot of ppl trying to get in! We had to walk what felt like 10km to me, up the hill to the outside! Had to carry my bag of useless stuff like towel & extra clothes! I DID NOT GET WET YOU SEE. REPEAT, DID. NOT. GET. WET. (!!!!!!)

When we reached the main road, we had to take a taxi to Sunway Pyramid! from Sunway Lagoon we took taxi to Sunway Pyramid! Ridiculous right??? RM5 was the taxi fare. Grraarghh.........

Went to Sunway Pyramid makan then balik jor...reached home around 8pm. Sighs. So much for my long-awaited weekend. Another stressful week in college is coming up..... =(

Before i end my post, let me freak you all out with this camwhore photo of me at the Summer Splash with Alan buat kacau in the background: Dsc08117

Stylo KL Fashion Festival

Surprise surprise. i've been working. me! working for the very first time! *applauds*
My college recruited us students to be helpers at the Stylo KL Fashion Festival in the KL Pavilion. Each of us were allocated under different categories with different team managers such as Logistics, Ushering, Registration, Media & Backstage crew.

I'm under Daephen in the backstage crew... initially i planned to work for 2 days only but they kept callin me back to work cuz i'm goooooood. haha nah. They needed more people so i ended up working with them for 5 days! in the backstage we do stuff like steam the clothes, help the designer with the clothes fittings, change clothes for models, sort out the stuff there, etc etc.

I breathed in alot of hairspray. They constantly sprayed the models' hair - no wonder their hair seem so unhealthy & dry. Heavy make up was applied on all the models too. It seems like these models are walking-stick-thin Barbie dolls. You dress them, decorate their faces & spoil their hair. You can yell at them too.

Most of you people think I AM THIN??? wait till you meet all these models! HAH! Believe it or not they are skinnier than me!! And taller too! For once in my life, i am in a room where most of the girls are thinner & taller than me! i felt like a normal sized person who's not that skinny! wheee!
a very amusing feeling for me =)

Some of these models are local, some are Caucasians. I know there are 3 of them from Russia, one from Slovakia, one from the US & the others i dont know... as for locals, Elaine Daly & Amber Chia was present too. There was this other model, her name is Azura. I think she won the Stylo Model of The Year Award (well that's what i read in The Star newspapers). These models aint as snobbish & arrogant as we all perceive them to be. After all, they are human beings too, just like us.

Hey people, i managed to sneakily take this photo of the models queueing up backstage before going on stage for the Melinda Looi show on 15th of March.
Backstage

This photo here was taken on Sunday (16th March) during a rehearsal for Michael Ong's show. As you can see, this is the HUGE Finale "can can dress" that ended the show for Michael Ong, worn by Azura. Michael Ong is standing there with his assistant telling the model how to sway the dress. Lol.
Can_can

This was taken backstage too, during the clothes fitting for Melinda Looi. That guy wearing black on the right side is a photographer. They are allowed in to take photos of the backstage chaos.
Fashion_2

Here's the model for Melinda Looi's Bride dress. [Pssst....i didnt take this photo. Its against the rules for us crew members to be photographing models. Some people just are dumb. So i manipulated them & ask them to send it to me]
yay!

Melinda_loois_bride_model

We also had to carry stuff. In this photo, i am holding a pink & red bouquet of roses for the Queen of Malaysia, yes, the Permaisuri Agong's flowers which is a token of appreciation from the Stylo team. I had to jaga this backstage wtf! I should have sneezed on it multiple times...
Bouquet

TA-DAH! Sai Yung & me nothing better to do cuz we arrived there pretty early.... so we camwhore! At night this area was used for the VIP arrivals...whole place got red carpet all laid out..
Stylo

Wondering how much we got paid for this? Initially they told us we are not going to be paid. I didnt mind because i am in it for the experience & to be part of something big. We will be receiving a certificate for this. Later, they negotiated with people from our college & decided to pay us RM5 an hour. It's ok i guess... first time i am earning money! wee!

hello college life

Most of u are probably wondering how i am doing in college. Then again, most of u probably dont even know that i have started college in the January intake!

Oh kay, for those who dont know, i am taking a Business Admin course.. none of those A-Levels or SAM or Pre-U stuff for me its kinda waste of time & money! No offence guys.

I am actually interested in Management courses but since management is like administration so....yeah. At first i was turned off by the fact i have to do Accounting. I didnt take Accounting in secondary school as i assumed it wud be of no purpose for me! But i was like what the heck. Just go for it. My Accounts lecturer is kinda boring. He is a kind lecturer with no temper at all but he's just..... having an older approach to teaching youngsters like us. He should make the class fun!

Then, there is my Malaysian Studies lecturer. I just despise him. A total waste of time being in his classes. I almost went to the Student Affairs Office to report bout him to change him. I wasnt the only one unsatisfied with him. Probably the whole class is. Some people switched out of the class/skipped class i think..  -sigh-
But he wasnt THAT bad this week. I'll see how it goes.

Next up, my Principles of Marketing lecturer. She is my favorite lecturer! I like her style of teaching. I understand every thing she teaches. Um, well thats what i think.
She's 33 years old with 2 kids & yet she looks like she's 20 something & she still have a fit body! Its amazing! She's quite awesome even the way she dresses is like so modern chic! She's a Malay & she speaks English fluently with her loud & clear voice. She jokes with us alot yet sometimes we dont laugh & it ended up being really funny! >.<

Enough on the classes i am taking. Lets talk bout....um...my new friends! Initially, introducing myself isnt always easy; as u see, my name is hard to pronounce at first, isnt it? So i had to repeat my name again & again till they get it right. Lol.
Anyways, most of my friends are bananas! wheee!! We all speak English & i havent really spoke much Mandarin since i've been to college....so i guess my Mandarin is becoming rusty? Awh shucks.

About my daily meals in Subang Jaya, i eat outside food everyday. Its so unhealthy (and i hope not, unhygienic perhaps?! yikes!)
Usually, i'll order what my tongue feels like tasting. I favor fried food so usually i'll order something fried. After eating, i'll feel kinda guilty for poisoning my body with so much oil! AND AND AND, when i eat, i'll order some sweet beverages! See.... !!! Told you, very unhealthy.
Oddly, i am aware of all this but................

i am picky when it comes to food! i wont force myself to eat something my tongue dont favor or some cheap recycled food!!!
@.@

Ah....what else am i supposed to say bout my college life... o yeah assignments!! Finally after 3 relaxing assignment-free weeks, i've got homework now. Oh well...

thats all i gotta say for now. cant think of nothing else for the moment..... au revoir~

i am still coughing like a donkey after 5 days. the cough is so bad till my inner organs hurt while coughing. i kept having this picture in my head that each time i cough, my organs wud contract simultaneously.
-_-

i learn biology, of course i kno that doesnt make sense. hey, come to think of it, do donkeys cough? do they? i've never seen a real life donkey before. are they really stupid? if a pretty girl & an ugly girl were to offer the donkey some food, who would the donkey go to? that's just a random question. xp

Here's a collection of random photos i've taken.
Book_1

The first is, a great book. My lovely Sweetheart From Hell. I finished reading it few days back!! I am no bookworm. I hardly read books. But, i bought this book because the author kept convincing us to buy her book (and because i love the PINK cover of this book!!!)

I love reading this book. It's quite thick with small words. Which is something out of the ordinary for me, since i am used to reading books with BIG words & MANY colourful pictures. ^-^ It's a story about a bimbotic drama queen from the USA who comes to work at Vogue Msia. Imagine a dumb blonde living her life in our country. Its so funny reading about things we can relate to. Like, how a foreigner would react seeing all those "oyster"  people here (if u thought about that word in a different dialect, u wud get what i mean).

The author is Lim May Zhee. She's Malaysian too. Just 17 like me but her English vocab is really vast!! I love the way she plays with words & every page has a pinch of her sarcastic sense of humour. The book is a real page turner. I love it!!!

Next random photo, Zac Pan!! i edited this photo. Awesome editing skills huh? ;p

i onceZac_pan_1 suggested to a friend of mine that Zac Efron makes a great Peter Pan. She doesnt seem to agree with me.
Now u see this photo. [click to enlarge]
He looks like a real life Peter Pan right? If Disney Productions were to produce a Live Musical of Peter Pan at Disneyworld or something, they should better opt for hiring Zac to play the role of Pan. Thus, the fusion, Zac Pan is born!!

I'll be so proud i'll be screaming "It's my idea! my idea!! i discovered his inner Peter Pan-ness!!"

They have the ALMOST same hair style & color....why not? And then Ashley Tisdale would play the part of Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell

ok i admit it. this time my editing doesnt look refined at all. Bah! [plz plz dont click to enlarge & scrutinize my mistakes!]
:)

Moving on.....i have a debate about raisins. Do they taste better eaten by itself? Or do raisins taste better served with ice cream, cookies, cakes, bread etc etc? I support raisins just like that. It tastes better that way!!! But most ppl think that it tastes better when cooked & eaten with bread. Yucks. Me no likey....

Me likey this.
Dsc07139_4
yes this this! love eating the raisins from this brand! Yum!! Who else loves it?! XD

Dsc07133_1 i doodled. this is when i'm bored. doodle doodle doodle.

Dsc07141_1

i dont kno who highlighted ALL the text in this book, but one thing for sure, it wasnt me!!! Obviously, to whom it may concern, EVERYTHING is so IMPORTANT thats why EVERY word was HIGHLIGHTED. Geeez.

Dsc07131

This weird looking thing, it is a plate of noodles, all squared up. This is because i am sucha neat & tidy person, i eat neat & tidy-ly too. (",)

NOoooo. the noodles just happened to be square. i  did nuthing to it. NUT-THING!

ah i am so bored now i better go.....do nothing. ciao.

The last day - Miss you Czech

6 Oct '07

Woke up at 3.20am. Extra 20-minutes sleeping time means alot to me! XD
Checked out of the hotel & loaded the car with our even-heavier luggage (the crystals fault)
Arrived Letiste Prague International Airport by 4 something i think...
Since we had some more Koruna left, we decided to finish it all at the airport!
but it was early in the morning so not many shops were open.
So what did we do?
We spotted a vending machine & decided to feed it with coins. Nyahaha!!
Bought some snacks like Snickers & Coke...Finally, was left with 10 Korunas.

Then i spotted a gumball machine!!
I approached it slowly hoping it was under 10 Korunas or something....

.......darn it! 15 Korunas! AH KRUTS! stupid gumball machine! %$$@#@&*!

After all that commotion, it was time to say goodbye to the ppl there...
bye bye Katarina (msian embassy secretary)
bye bye Pavel!
bye bye Thomas (the volkswagen chauffeur)
bye bye Mr.-dunno what name- (somebody important from the embassy)

Our flight to Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol departed at 7.10am.
When we arrived the airport, we went to the Transit desk...
& found out that our MAS airlines flight back to KL is delayed!
Its supposed to be at 12.05pm but it got delayed for 4 hours! gee!
so, we had to SPEND 8 HOURS AT THE AIRPORT in Amsterdam.

To make up to us, we were each given a food voucher worth 14.95 Euros to spend there while waiting...
Thats almost RM80!! for lunch! if we cud exchange it for real cash it wud be sweet... XD
I wondered around the airport & entered each shop twice or maybe more...
i didnt sleep at the airport tho sleeping lounges were available.
If the airport security system cameras were watching me, it wud be no surprise since i acted so suspiciously
by walking around the airport from end to end! it wasnt that big..

i have to say, of all the airports in the world i've visited,
KLIA is the nicest, biggest, most modern one!!
^-^ yet the moment u step out of the airport.... @.@

When i finally boarded my aircraft at 4pm, i was so annoyed to find some other ppl in my seat!
some freakin negros (i am not being racist, i cant find any other words to describe em) had their butts planted in my seat!
Dont they kno how to read their flight tickets & seat number??! Is that their first time on board an aircraft?!
OMG!
Because of them, a "human traffic jam" boarding the plane occured...
the air stewardess all came to our isle to sort them out for causing trouble!
by the way, i found out later that they are dutch. African-dutch asses!!!
they sat behind me throughout the flight & spoke loudly! the person behind me kept kicking my seat, it was SO ANNOYING!
it was a very uncomfortable flight...then, i thought i saw Jaclyn Victor on board!

OH.

it is an air stewarded who looks like her. Just that her make-up around the eyes were so intense. Metallic green eyeshadow!
whoa! i dont see american airlines, czech airlines, emirates airlines or
whatever bamboozle name it is has air stewardess' with sucha make-up!

Anyways, finally arrived KLIA at 10.30am on a Sunday, October 7th. That afternoon i slept a whole lot at home.
Jet lag perhaps.

The way i blogged bout my trip was like i went there for 6 months or something!
Thats because i treasured every moment of it. My previous vacations didnt had this much coverage & i regretted that.
In a nutshell, my vacation in Czech was one of a kind.
It's a country that is still authentic... it's not all commercialised & touristy.
Touristy, as in, u dont see a whole bunch of sales ppl walking around tryin to sell u lil Eiffel Tower keychains
yeap, thats what happened in Paris as i remembered vividly. i dont like that.
i prefer experiencing the country that's still a virgin..a road less travelled.
Their culture is still quite homogenous...and thats a good thing to me.
:)

Day 5 of Vacation in Czech

5 Oct '07

Today we took a Prague City Tour...ya kno,
those with a tour guide walking around with an unbrella/flag/anything long & pointy.
Of course, we spent our morning at these must-see places in Prague like the:
Prague Castle
Charles Bridge
Astronomical Clock

* i went to this place 6 times [!] cuz it was within walking distance from my hotel..
everyday, at 6 o'clock in the evening, ppl gather outside to watch the thing move about...urm,
i dunno how to explain....well i recorded a video of it but i aint gonna post it here
As we were walking, i passed by this thing which scared me!!

Dsc06938_1

And then we spent our afternoon walking around the Old Town Square entering many many crystal shops...
It was a crazy spending spree, not for me, but my mum  -_-"
She purchased so many stuff that we couldnt continue shopping bcuz we had too much crystals to carry!
I was my mother's walking calculator...i helped her convert their currency to ours.. see, i did Math revision there!
Below, are Faberge/Imperial Eggs

Dsc06950

its so cute & pretty... its just some expensive decorative items..i just adore it!

We shopped so much we kinda skipped lunch... the power of shopping!! ^-^
Later that day, after resting awhile in the hotel, we went out again..
but i was lazy to walk so we summoned (summoned! big word..hahaa....ok, not really larr) Pavel.
We told him to drive us to St. Peter & St. Paul's Cathedral...it was very windy as i cud remember. Freakin cold too!!
I like this door design at St. Peter & Paul's Cathedral..

Dsc06957

nearby there was a cemetery...it a beautiful cemetery....Lol. like a flower garden.. well here's part of it

Dsc06956

Then we went to Wencelas Square...and guess what...
loads of teenagers hanging out there...i dunno y.. its a tourist area / town centre ?

We then went to their market area. its an open air market...selling fresh fruits & vegetables.
They sold candies too! Of course i couldnt resist tryin it so i purchased some..
Bought some nougat. it aint ur ordinary nougat, it's really soft & creamy..with almonds on the top.
The sweetness is just right for the taste buds <3
We took a walk again...as they say, thats the best way to get to kno a city, on foot!
And yeap, i found out something bout these ppl...they SMOKE alot!
chimney mouths...puffing away like their cigarettes grow on trees.

I bought an Eurodog...fancy name aint it? Well, it's just hotdog from a roadside stall.
Its like a french baguette cut in half with a hollow tube to insert the ketchup/mustard & hotdog in it.. simple eh?
It tastes great! (maybe cuz its warm & the weather was cold)

Thats bout it for my last day in Prague..i slept early that night cuz i had to wake up at 3am to go to the airport!

oct 6 story to be posted soon.

Day 4 of vacation in Czech

4 Oct '07

Today is the day i finally went buying souvenirs for my friends..
what's really frustrating is to buy souvenirs only to find out that on the back it's printed MADE IN CHINA.
For god's sake! we come from Asia!
We travel all the way to the western hemisphere to find something from Asia too?
And it's priced at the typical touristy prices!
It's like buying something dirt cheap at a price 10 times more!
I get so mad each time i see the MADE IN CHINA words. Yet, i'm still proud to say i am a Chinese.
:p

Anyways, the Czech currency is "Koruna".
100 Cz Kr = RM 15
yes, at first i thought,
"oh, shopping's gonna be so fun!! looks like stuff are gonna be cheap since our Ringgit is worth more than their Korunas!"
but no....oh no.... ridiculous prices!
approximately RM30 for a keychain!
i mean, those at the tourist areas of course. even if it was cheaper it wud be around RM20!
gee! one time, i thought my currency conversions were wrong! their currency can be said to be almost equivalent to Euro dollars!

well that night, we went out for a walk. it's so nice to walk around town at night after dinner..
i bought ice cream though it was cold...it's some nutty mix of pecans, almonds & other nuts.
i loved the ice cream. LOVE IT!
But since i was eating it i didnt enter the Swarovski crystal gallery with my parents. I waited outside.

As I stood outside enjoying my ice cream, I gazed upon the night sky. I couldnt believe i was there.
Standing alone by the street in a beautiful European city. Just me, myself & i. I didnt appreciate it when i was younger.
Beneathe the skyline of Prague are the magnificent Neo-baroque buildings enhanced by the modern day lighting & street lamps.
Along the streets i see a Caucasian couple sitting in a horse-driven carriage strolling down with the klippetty-klop-klop sounds the horse hoofs make.
Not long after that i heard the rambunctious chatter of 4 young Korean ladies walking in a horizontal line
like their grandparents own the road or something.
How do i kno they are Korean? Duh, they talk loud enough for me to identify their race.
Just to make things clear, i dont have anything against Koreans ok??
(i still cant stand the koreans living near my condo)
Then, i saw an elderly lady walking pass me as she grasp firmly two dog straps joining to the collar
of her two little scruffy scottish-terrier puppies. The puppies hurried by & seemed to be leading the way for her.

It's these simple little things i see in life that i enjoy. Sigh....

here are 2 photos.. it's blur i kno that. Well the first one is a horse carriage (obviously!) & second is one of those antique cars that take you on a sightseeing tour around town..

Dsc06898

Dsc06900

That's all for day 4! there's still day 5 & 6 ok? Lol.

Day 3 of vacation in Czech

3 Oct '07

Checked out of the hotel. It was a cold morning. It rained the night before.
Went to Tatra Company which is in the town itself. They build military & big trucks in the country.
I went to the test drive area. They had all sort of terrains there to test the suspension system of the trucks.
Winding, hilly, gravel, pebble stone, water, bumpy roads. U name it.
They invited me for a joy ride in a big 4-tonne truck. It was like the control experiment.
Not much suspension. Imagine that.
It was a very rough journey, bouncing & up & down in my seat. Reminds me of a ride in the theme park.
Or a plate of konyakku jelly placed on top of a giant of vibrator! NO, don think crooked!
All the other ppl joining in the "joy-ride" are military officers. Older ppl.
hahaha luckily no one broke a bone!

Then it was lunch time. Thankfully my "joy-ride" was before lunch.
Or else i wud puke everywhere like a water sprinkler in the garden.
And i dont wanna be puking. Later ppl wud be thinkin i'm bullimic. Which I AM NOT!!!

Another reason is; i dont wanna puke my lunch. It was good. With a capital G.
Czech rice (it's double the size of our asian rice & it's slightly rounded) served with grilled chicken breast
covered in a tan-coloured warm thick gravy topped with slices of peach with a side of salad!
*stomach growls*
i am hungry now. i think i can smell it. wait, that's just my hallucinations...
(darn hallucinogens! i shud cut down on it no matter how much i.....!)

After that we went to a different location. I will not reveal this place as it has something to do with gov secret!
(actually i forgotten the name of the place. bah!)
It's some place making something for some ppl. [Wow, isnt that sentence so full of hints?]
Basically what i did was i rode in a big ol' miltary tank. Yes. Those u see in wars. The dark green ones.
It wasn't as shaky as i thought it wud be. Damn soldiers must have had a good life in the tank!
The tank was speeding...it's so heavy & loud & it still speeded like people rushing for free food at the open house!
As my head was sticking out of the tank, the strong wind blew in my face till my porcellain fair skin (don say pale!) was wobbling about like there was a super-mega-leaf-blower pointed directly at my face.
i could hardly move my face. i had a frozen expression.
maybe it's a better idea to stay IN the tank.
i wanted to throw my arms up in the air but that wud just make me look like i'm calling for help eh? not a good idea.

I saw an apple tree nearby. yeah, an apple tree! I didn't even see one when i stayed in US. sigh.
the other malaysians plucked it & gave it to me. i was never so excited looking at apples before!
Here is a pic of it (yes, i'm still keeping it). With Frodo. Wait that's Chanel. I put her there as a size comparison item u see.

Apples_frodo
Then i found out these are apples that u feed to horses. Oh well, my chinese zodiac IS a horse.
But i didnt eat the apples. My "kiasuness" gave me signals that its poisonous. *chuckles*

After that we left town for the big city. Prague. Yes, back to beautiful Prague! It was a long car ride..
when we got near the city we experienced their traffic jam. Just as vicious as Malaysians.
Only difference is their honking sound.
Their horns sound different. More subtle.
Our car horns somehow seem more rude. Blaring. Though the car manufacturers are almost the same ones.
So if i was driving there i dont mind ppl honking me :]

Checked into Hotel #3: Hotel Mercure Prague.
nice hotel. posh. 4-star hotel i think.
Had their Czech food again for dinner. Then went for a walk again.
One thing i hate bout walking there i the uneven pavements.
At first i was like, "Look! Weird pavements! How cool is that! Looks like those i saw in Rome! It's the type that existed when there were peasants on the streets & horse carriages carrying noblemen passed by.."
But then, once u walk on it for sometime, it gets uncomfortable.
I was wearing a pair of comfy sneakers! And my feet hurts after walking!
I saw some ladies wearing high heels. They tripped on the pavement.
I wanted to laugh right there & then but that wud be mean wouldnt it?
so i went back to my hotel room, thought bout them, & laughed anyways.

hehe. i'm not done with my vacation blabber. be sure to wait for more!!! XD  XD  XD  XD  XD

Day 2 of Vacation in Czech

2 Oct '07

Checked out of Hotel Ibis.
Departed for Brno, the second largest city in Czech Republic.
Dropped dad off at some place.
Asked Pavel to send Mum & i to tourist areas in that city.
Pavel depended on the GPS system.
There was once the GPS system could not function.
Pavel started to seem lost. Lol.

We went to Spielberk Park & Spielberk Castle. Walked all over the place. Nice park & nice buildings.
Great view of the city too cuz it's situated on top of a hill.
Found a chestnut tree. With chestnuts laying on the ground, in abundance!
I should have picked up all of it, brought it back to Msia, roasted it with coffee beans & sell it!
Could have earned money that way. Though there's a possibilty the chestnuts are poisonous.

ah so what ppl die mah die laa
Got lost. Two Malaysian females lost somewhere in Czech Republic. dangerous eh? Come to think of it, NOT REALLY!
I managed to find the way back to the car by back-tracking. Yay me! [Applaudes for herself]

Had sandwich for lunch. These ppl eat loads of sandwiches man!! gee...i love sandwiches but this was just too much!
Departed for the town of Blansko. Arrived there. A lady named Mirka brought us for a tour around that area.
Visited a really deep abyss, known as Macocha Abyss. Every year, 2 or 3 ppl commit suicide there.
Creepy. (if it was Msia, it wud be our National Garbage Dumping Ground i presume- cud fill it up!)

Left the town, departed for a smaller town called Koprivnice  >.<"

As i sat in the car feeling bored during the trip, i was shaken suddenly. AN ACCIDENT OCCURED!!!
A DHL delivery truck bumped into the left rear of our Benz. The car swerved for bout 10 metres on the open road.
We were at a red traffic light that time. Luckily didnt crash into other cars.
My initial thought was that the car went over a dead cow in the middle of the road.
That's what i thought happened. Bah, silly me!
My first car accident. Made me feel weak in the legs. No one was hurt though.
The elderly man who drove the DHL truck walked up to our car with his hands shaking. Poor man.
Pavel talked with the elderly man & they decided to call the police to sort out some car insurance stuff.
Since it would take awhile, we (without Pavel) continued our journey to Koprivnice in a black Volkswagen mini van. Lol.

Passed by many small houses with little white fences & colorful flowers growing in the garden. Simplicity.
I'd love to live in a house like that. Small, cosy & calm. I might still have this desire to stay in a lil european townhouse when my nerve cells degenerate. :)

Arrived hotel #2: Hotel Tatra just in time for dinner.
To my astonishment, they served buffet-style Malaysian food! I mean, a mild/cheap version of our food.
Heard that they learn to cook it from the internet. Wow. Amazing.
They had banana fritters (pisang goreng), otak-otak, chicken curry etc etc.
It wasn't that good, but i really appreciate their effort! How do they find the ingredients? Damn.

O yeah the hallways between the rooms hav a sensor system. It only lights up when it detects motion in the hallways.
It's scary when ur lift door opens slowly & the first thing u see is darkness. U r forced to step outside. Unless u wish to be claustrophobic in there!
I took a walk around the town that night. Entered their local store. Guess what, they sell Lays potato chips!
Darn these Americans are great, they have their products exported all over the world even to a secluded town in
a landlocked country! Why cant we find our...urm.... durians there?

well, end of part 2 of my memorable journey... gonna update soon~~
